The Green Villa Barn is a newly renovated ballroom located two miles north of Independence Oregon. Swing Street Glenn Tadina Band played for their open house February 6, 2005 when the renovation project was nearly completed. This was a three-plus years project taken on by owners, Joost and Charlotte VanderHave. Note the before and after photos of the old bandstand and the return of a hardwood dance floor. The VanderHave's are also owner of the Green Villa Farm. The Kenti Ballroom, original name of the ballroom, was built in 1928 by the Kennedy and Titus family in the Independence area. The ballroom was active as a social center in the Salem area throughout the 30's,40's and 50's. Since it's re-opening as the Green Villa Barn, it has hosted many wedding, anniversary and other social events.
